So...Saeru drew this tiny tiny little scribble of Xem a long time ago...
...and...I don't feel like really captioning this right now. I just want to upload it finally.
We just think "it's awesome, the end."

The original impression that I had when drawing this was that it'd be in black and white, with this massive field of red beneath where Xemnas had been fighting and yet remained untouched...

But I like this. Its interesting doing collaborations, because the drawing suddenly becomes a work of art that is not just one's own brainchild anymore...you get something you wouldn't have ever imagined but that is just as good.

The intent is also for Xemnas's eyes to be at the center of the perspective...I wanted him to invite you in...to sort of challenge you to see if you could succeed where the last man failed...

Look, ma, we did sorta real art!

:bulletgreen: Media = This is done on a huge piece of watercolor paper, with a million kinds of media (I'm including a photo because I find it rather funny that this is my idea of greyscale = [link] ) including also a cut-up pizza box used for the masking and a toothbrush used for the 80's splatter effect. Also, there is no Photoshop here at all (save for slicing together the dozen scans to form the full picture.)

Absolutely gorgeous! :D I love love love how you made Xemnas' weapons and his hair is perfect! The sky is amazing - and I am absolutely stunned by the shadow of the moon on the ground. Just wow.

I think most people don't realize that his sabers come directly out of his palms, but to make that look even slightly convincing, I thought they would have to be very see-thru and glowy...like they were just energy and not a physical thing at all. Guess it worked...?
The sky was a mistake...but kinda a happy accident. ^_^;

...I'm glad I didn't caption this much. It's much cooler to hear other interpretations! :heart:

I love being able to incorporate some BLOOD into a KH fanart finally. (You have no idea how long I've been waiting for a senable, non-gratuitous manner of doing so.)
In contrast to that splatter of gore, I especially like how Sae drew his perfectly composed, elegant stance...like he was bowing slightly to his opponent.
"Good game; well played."

The mood sorta changed from what either of us intended, but it's still full of mood of some sort or another!

...& EPIX is so going to be my new band name.
